• I struggled very much in my freshman year of high school academically in math.

  • My teacher wasn't a good fit for me, as he didn’t encourage us to take any notes, so his lectures were ultimately useless.

  • My grade in this class was always a B, and I always wanted to get an A grade in math but I never could at this school.

  • I didn’t overcome this challenge until I came to John Muir, where I had an amazing math teacher and the concepts finally made sense to me.

• One of the most memorable moments of high school was going to Warner Bros Studios.

  • This was a very fun experience, and I enjoyed seeing the blank sets and studios in the lot where they film movies and television shows.

  • It was cool to see the costumes on display that were used in numerous movies. I also enjoyed seeing the different Foley instruments used to create sounds in animation.

  • I was wonderstruck seeing the water tower where the Animaniacs live, as this is one of my favorite cartoon shows.
